Kory Hesseling – Personal Trainer
Hesseling is a 2012 graduate from the University of Toledo, with a Bachelor of Education in Exercise Science. He has experience working with people of all ages. His internships include training UT athletes, working with older adults in cardiac rehab and aquatic therapy. He also has experience in group fitness training, and working with adolescents and adults in personal training sessions.
Hesseling will be working in various areas of wellness at the Y, including personal training and the KidFit program. He states, “it is our mission to give clients our very best to enhance their lives through personal training and to ensure a high level of professionalism and service that makes us different than other fitness industries.” “I go by the motto ‘your health is priceless’ and I am very passionate about applying my knowledge with those who are ready and dedicated to wanting to get in shape,” he added.
Kelly Houg – Personal Trainer
The YMCA of Van Wert County announces the addition of Kelly Houg to the Wellness Team. Wellness director, Julie Schaufelberger, states “with our growing membership base and fitness schedule, we were in need of an additional staff person to work with members and teach fitness classes. Kelly has been a substitute instructor for us for several years and we feel her love and knowledge of fitness and her enthusiastic personality makes her a great fit for working with members individually or in group training.”
Houg will be teaching Monday evening Xpress Cycling . All fitness classes are included free of charge with a membership. She will also be working with new members to orient them to using the machines in the wellness area and helping members with questions regarding their workouts.
