Hello, I am Hugh Kocab, Executive Director of the Van Wert County YMCA. Welcome to the About Us page of our website! On this page, you can find general facts and a brief history about the Y. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Y Board of Directors and the Y Management Team. I’m sure you will recognize many of our great and talented board members and staff.

We have a great team of staff and volunteers in place with a focus on membership satisfaction and community relations. We have been working hard at improving our customer service to best meet your needs, while at the same time showing our members how much they are appreciated!

We are really excited to kick off this new user friendly website and look forward to a more efficient way of communicating with members and the community. Please note some of the special tabs on the sides of each page, such as the “Donate Now,” tab. There are also online registration and cell phone number registration tabs. ONLINE REGISTRATION! Isn’t that great!!! Register your cell phone and you will also receive class change, cancellation and closing updates via text alert.
