Valued YMCA Members and Guests!

As the summer months approach, the YMCA of Van Wert County will see a decrease in the use of the facility by members and guests.  The beautiful summer weather persuades our Y family to spend more time outdoors with family and friends at locations like our YMCA Camp Clay and YMCA Hickory Sticks Golf!  

This summer change allows the YMCA time to perform important updates and projects that will improve the member experience.  This summer we have chosen to make significant updates to our pool and pool area!  We are currently the only indoor pool space in Van Wert County and it is very important to properly maintain our pool for years of future use!

That said, the pool area will be closed starting on Monday July 15th, 2024 until the project is finished in September.  The Y will be draining and re-grouting the pool, updating the drop ceiling above the pool, replacing the older swim starter blocks for swim meets, and fixing some old plumbing.  We are also currently on track to install a new pool lift to assist individuals with mobility issues into the water!

These updates are very important to the future use of our indoor pool and we look forward to the continued enjoyment of the Van Wert County YMCA pool by our local community for many years to come!

YMCA Camp Clay will be closed to the public for private events on Sunday August 25th!  Please note when planning a trip to the Aqua Park!
